Accessibility Statement
Last updated: October 16, 2026
Our Commitment
Pelican Group Investments, LLC, the operator of Rich Habits Podcast, wants everyone to be able to enjoy our website, including people with disabilities. We are continually working to improve the experience for all visitors.
Conformance Status
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We have not certified full conformance, and some parts of the Site may not yet fully meet these guidelines.
Measures We Take
Structure and navigation
- Every page sets its language, has a unique page title, one main heading and headings in logical order.
- Clear page regions (header navigation, main content and footer) so screen reader users can jump between them.
- A "Skip to content" link as the first item on every page.
- Full keyboard navigation with a visible focus outline on every link, button and form field.
- Links that open in a new tab, such as podcast platforms and social accounts, say so to screen readers.
Images and media
- Meaningful images have text descriptions; decorative artwork is hidden from screen readers.
- Star ratings on reviews are announced as text, for example "5 out of 5 stars".
- Episode artwork labels (episode number, Q&A, RH Radar, guest name) are real text, not pictures of text.
Forms and interactive features
- The newsletter sign-up and episode search have labels, and sign-up results ("You're on the list!" or an error) are read aloud by screen readers.
- When you search or filter episodes, screen readers hear how many episodes are showing.
- The Listen popup can be opened and closed by keyboard, keeps focus inside while open, closes with Escape and returns you to where you were.
- Reviews can be moved with labeled previous and next buttons, and each change is announced.
- Content that appears on hover, such as the episode credit cards and the Free Tools books, also appears on keyboard focus or tap.
Motion and animation
- A "Pause animations" control at the bottom of every page stops floating, sliding, rotating and auto-advancing effects. The Site remembers your choice.
- Looping animations pause automatically when they are off screen.
- Reviews only advance on their own while visible, and stop while you hover over or focus on them.
- Nothing on the Site flashes.
Color and layout
- Text and controls are checked for color contrast against WCAG AA. A dark overlay sits behind text on colorful backgrounds to keep it readable.
- Color is never the only way information is shown.
- Pages adapt to phones, tablets and desktops, and work when zoomed to 200%.
How We Test
We review the Site with automated testing (axe-core) on the homepage, episodes, an episode page and these legal pages at both desktop and phone sizes, plus manual keyboard checks. The most recent review on October 16, 2026 found no serious or critical issues in the areas tested. Automated tools cannot catch every issue, so we also welcome your feedback.
Known Limitations
- Some buttons and links on phones, such as the "Listen" buttons, category filters and footer links, are smaller than the recommended 44 by 44 pixel tap size. We are working on enlarging them.
- Animations play by default, even if your device is set to reduce motion. Use the "Pause animations" control to turn them off.
- Some content comes from third parties, such as podcast platforms, embedded videos and linked websites, and may not be fully accessible.
- Older episode show notes come directly from our podcast feed and may contain formatting we do not fully control.
Feedback and Assistance
If you run into a barrier or need content in another format, email us at richhabitspodcast@gmail.com. We aim to respond within [RESPONSE TIME, e.g. 2 business days].
